Rodney Grosskopff - Founder
In 1959, while still a student, Rodney joined Manfred Hermer’s practice, established in 1945. Soon after qualifying in 1966, he became a partner in Manfred Hermer Grosskopff. This was the foundation of the practice known today as GLH. Rodney has designed and been associated with some of the firm’s most notable buildings over the last half-century. His architectural philosophy has been To Add Value, which remains the company’s credo to this day. Rodney is a Professional Architect registered with SACAP and SAIA.

Pierre Lombart - Chairman
Pierre qualified in Belgium at the ISA St Luc in Brussels, and joined GLH in 1984 as an architect and urban planner. He became a partner in 1987, and chairman in 2006. During his tenure, the office became an internationally recognised practice, proud to build some of the most notable buildings, and be involved with some of the largest corporations in the country. He continues his influence on the urban and conceptual design stage of the major projects and maintains the firm’s liaison with major clients. Pierre is a Professional Architect registered with SACAP.

Xavier Huyberechts - Senior Partner/Member
Xavier qualified in Belgium at the ISA St Luc in Brussels. He joined GLH in 1994, became a partner in 1997, and the senior member in 2005. Xavier is a Professional Architect registered with SACAP and SAIA.

Andrew Wood - Partner/Member
Andrew joined GLH in 1995, whilst still a student at the University of the Witwatersrand. He became an associate in 1999, and a partner in the practice in 2006. Andrew is a Professional Architect registered with SACAP and SAIA.

Briget Grosskopff - Partner/member
Briget qualified at the University of the Witwatersrand with degrees in both Architecture and Fine Arts. She joined GLH in 1994 and became a partner in 1997. Briget is a Professional Architect registered with SACAP and SAIA.

Louise O’Raw – Partner/Member
Louise qualified at Technikon Witwatersrand with an N Dip Arch as the best student in the country. She joined GLH as a student in 1991, became an associate in 1999, and a partner in the practice in 2004. Louise is a Professional Senior Architectural Technologist registered with SACAP and a GBCSA Green Star Accredited Professional.
